The General Directorate of Development Planning, Environment and Infrastructure is responsible for the coordination and monitoring of the operation of all the organic units that fall under it, ensuring their smooth operation in order to deal with the problems and cases of their competence, especially in the areas of planning and development of the basic infrastructure of the Region, with an emphasis on transport, waste management, the protection of the natural - urban environment of the landscape, the control of the safety and quality of constructions, the implementation of projects to upgrade the quality of life of the citizens of the Region. It must be in continuous cooperation with the competent Ministries in order to better deal with the problems and cases under their jurisdiction.
